Speciation defnition for non sexually reproducing organisms

Post by orwell1984 » Sat Feb 02, 2019 11:19 pm

First post here.
I was thinking - since primitive single cell organisms do not mate, the usual species definition does not apply. What is the approach then? How does one observe speciation?

Thanks.
